  • Thread adapter 2 inch a to T-2a (T-2 component #27)
  • converts a 2 inch female thread into a T-2 male thread
  • 2 inch (50.8mm) male thread on the telescope side, T-2 (M42x0.75) male thread on the eyepiece side
  • a very important accessory in our T-2 connection system! It fits e.g. all camera T-rings, our OPFA-4 eyepiece projection attachment or a deluxe eyepiece clamp 1¼ inch.
  • with built-in internal filter thread 2 inch (M48)

A very important accessory in our T-2 connection system!
Often, for example, the optical path length of one of our 2 inch prism housings is too long if a camera is to be attached (e.g. with the 2 inch Herschel prism or the 2 inch Amici prism 90°!). This ring can be screwed directly into the prism housing instead of the 2 inch eyepiece clamp. In this way you gain approx. 60mm optical path length, because the T-2a adapter thread sits directly on the body of the Herschel prism. All camera T-rings, our OPFA-4 eyepiece projection attachment or a deluxe 1¼ inch eyepiece clamp (this only has a height of 30mm!) will fit.
