Scene Recognition Even When Focusing Manually
Thanks to its powerful EXPEED 7 engine and Deep Learning technology, this full-frame mirrorless camera offers the ultimate in manual focus support: Scene Recognition when shooting with manual focus (MF) and Scene Recognition enabled, the Z f detects the subject and moves the focus point there automatically. This saves you a lot of time when photographing people or animals. You can rely on the camera to safely place the focus measurement field on the face or even the eye. This way, you can devote your full attention to the composition. The MF metering works regardless of whether you're shooting through the viewfinder or the monitor. Unrestricted Tilt and Rotate Monitor
With the first unrestricted tilt and rotate touchscreen monitor on a full-frame Nikon Z-series camera, you'll keep everything in view easily and clearly when shooting from any angle. What's more, Touch Function Call-up gives you a whole new way to assign shooting functions. Touch Function Call lets you assign button functions to nine customizable areas of the bright, high-resolution touchscreen. It's flexible and intuitive to operate the camera: By tapping an area, you can easily move the focus metering area, switch between subject eyes, select grid lines, activate a virtual horizon, and more. With Touch Function Call enabled, you can even control the position of the focus point with your thumb on the monitor while looking through the viewfinder. By selecting a one-pixel shift, you can merge four or eight shots into one 24-megapixel RAW image. This corresponds to a size of four RAW images. With a pixel shift of 0.5 pixels, you can merge 16 or 32 shots to create a RAW image with an impressive 96 MP resolution and a maximum image size of 16 RAW images.
