The Dual Pixel CMOS AF II helps you with your photographic work. Thanks to the supporting functions of the Canon R6 Mark II, not only can people be focused very quickly, but horses can also be focused, in addition to dogs and cats. But it doesn't stop there, the R6 can also detect vehicles. Thus, airplanes or trains are reliably brought into focus. The low light autofocus performance of the EOS R6 II is also remarkable here. The AF can still be used even with a low light of -6.5 EV.

The performance of the autofocus is comparable to that of the Canon R3 + Co. as it is based on the same algorithms. Therefore, the camera is also ideally suited for use in sporting events!

Stable images with the Canon EOS R6 Mark II

The image stabilizer of the Canon R6 II offers a 5-stage IBIS image stabilization, when using an RF Lens with IS support even an 8-stage image stabilization, which will not only please landscape photographers with longer exposure times, but also videographers, who can film even more stable shots handheld thanks to the built-in IBIS by resorting to a gimbal. This makes the camera perfect for documentaries and reportage in low-light situations.

The new 24.2 megapixel sensor

With now 24.2 instead of 20 megapixels, the wishes of many Canon fans have been heard! Thanks to the hybrid function of the shutter, short exposure times of up to 1/16,000 sec are possible here. The sensor of the Canon R6 Mark II offers you security at night, with a maximum ISO sensitivity of 102,400.

Video quality + video features of the R6II

The Canon EOS R6 Mark II's sensor also allows it to output up to 6K video footage at 60 frames per second, with 10-bit (ProRes) Raw recording, even without crop.
Videographers will also find improved cooling performance in the Canon system camera, which is especially noticeable during long shoots. An interesting feature of the EOS R6II here is also pre-recording, where it records up to 5 seconds beforehand in the video. Some users may also be interested in using the camera as a webcam, where users are offered a Full HD image at 30p, which requires no additional software. Videographers can film with this camera without limits, no clip is bound to the 30-minute limit, only to the limit of your memory card. As with the Canon EOS C70, the R6II offers a "detection only" focus option, so focus remains at the last position even if the subject moves out of frame.

Functions to make shooting easier

If you're worried about missing a moment, Canon can ease that fear here with the pre-capture feature, which was already built into the EOS R7. The built-in display offers full flexibility in terms of maneuverability and the 3-inch size offers an exciting feature of Cinema cameras, which will also please videographers. Another feature is the false color warning, where six colors, each representing a different luminance, show up on the viewfinder or the display.

The Canon EOS R6 II is equipped with a viewfinder that displays 120 frames per second to ensure a blackout-free image as much as possible. The viewfinder supports 60Hz to 120Hz.
