THE NEW XCD 3.5 - 4.5 / 35 - 75
THE OPTICAL PERFORMANCE OF A FIXED FOV IN A COMPACT ZOOM LENS
The ninth lens in the X-System lens range is the already anticipated XCD 3.5 - 4.5 / 35 - 75 zoom lens. The lens delivers the same outstanding image quality and edge-to-edge sharpness as the fixed focal length XCD lenses, this particular high performance lens covers the focal length range from slightly wide angle to slightly telephoto. Internal focusing keeps the length of the lens constant, ensures fast autofocus and also keeps the overall weight down. This makes it ideal for photographers who want to shoot landscapes or portraits, but only want to take a small amount of equipment with them on their travels and don't want to compromise on image quality. "This really is the best lens Hasselblad has developed.

The performance is extremely high and rivals our best lenses. I can even say that it is probably the best zoom lens currently available on the market," says Per Nordlund, Lead Optical Designer at Hasselblad.

As with all other XCD lenses, the XCD 35 - 75 has a central shutter with exposure times between 68 minutes and 1/2000 of a second - with continuous flash synchronization.
