  • Carbon tripod with LH-30 ball head
  • ultralight but extremely stable
  • 52 cm pack size
  • 125 cm extendable
  • 8 kg load capacity

Leofoto Ranger LS-254C carbon tripod with LH-30 ball head
This model, like all tripods in the Ranger series, is designed to accompany photographers on longer trips out in nature. Lightweight, compact and also extremely robust and strong: all attributes that are also characteristic of the Leofoto Ranger LS-254C carbon tripod. The pack size is just 520 mm. When the leg segments are fully extended, a maximum working height of 1,260 mm is achieved with the Leofoto LH-30 ball head. However, this is also included in the complete set, as is a screw-on center column. A multi-tool and a set of stainless steel spikes are also included - everything is supplied in a carrying bag. Like the LH-30 ball head, the Ranger LS-254C can handle a load of 8 kg. With its own weight of only 932 g (carbon tripod) and 308 g (ball head), the duo helps to ensure that outdoor equipment does not become too heavy.

Leofoto Ranger series - the ultra-light, but extremely stable carbon tripods
Nature is practically the nature of the compact and lightweight Leofoto Ranger tripods. Every gram and every millimetre counts on days of photo stalking in order to minimize the volume and weight of your luggage. However, all pieces of equipment must not only save space and weight, but also meet very high requirements. Stability under all circumstances, that is the requirement. The material, carbon, ensures the required lightness. Its stability and freedom from vibration "grows" with the number of layers. Apart from the Traveler tripod series and the monopods, Leofoto tripods are made of ten-layer carbon. The deliberately modular design of all tripods in the Leofoto Ranger series - the center column is not built in, but only attached when required - makes it possible to limit luggage to the bare essentials.
With their small diameters, the head plates in the Ranger series are also part of the space-saving concept. And because they are CNC-milled from strong aircraft aluminum, they fit perfectly. The head plate screw has a 3/8" thread. The tripod legs - each consisting of three to five leg elements, depending on the model - glide smoothly and without twisting. They are held in place by rubberized twist locks that are easy to grip. Unwanted vibrations are absorbed by the rubber feet. If necessary, they can be replaced with the stainless steel spikes supplied or optional snow and sand feet.

Leofoto Ranger LS-254C carbon tripod - high and low at the same time
All carbon tripods in the Ranger series are minimized to the maximum, so to speak. For this reason, they do not have a built-in center column. In most cases, this proves to be ideal for on the move. If you want to go higher and accept a little more weight and space requirements, simply add the separately supplied center column to your photo luggage. When it is screwed on, the working height of the Leofoto Ranger LS-254C carbon tripod increases by a maximum of 315 mm, i.e. up to a comfortable 1,575 mm. The leg spread, on the other hand, makes it possible to shoot at a working height of just 140 mm above the ground - a particularly ideal option for macro photographers. Each tripod leg consists of four smoothly sliding segments with diameters of 25, 22, 19 and 16 mm.

Leofoto LH-30 ball head - small and powerful at the same time
Precisely CNC-milled from black anodized aircraft aluminium, with built-in spirit level. Horizontal rotation of 360° and vertical inclination of up to 90° of the ball (30 mm diameter) are controlled and held by the strong wing nut. Weighing only 308 g, the Leofoto LH-30 ball head can withstand a load of 15 kg. the 80 mm height means that the center of gravity is low, which also reduces detrimental vibrations. With a 3/8" tripod thread and scale on the tripod plate, which makes precise adjustment easier. The built-in quick-release coupling also makes work easier; it comes with a BPL-50 QR camera plate of the Arca-Swiss type.
