Wide field of view, high optical performance, lightweight and ergonomic.
With their extra wide field of view and high optical performance, the 8x40 S, 10x50 S and 8-16x40 S models are ideal for observing nature, wildlife, birds or sporting events. Aspherical lenses ensure sharp images right to the edges and reduce distortion, while the coated lenses and prisms deliver crystal-clear, bright and high-resolution images. Depending on the model, focusing is possible from 4, 6 or 10 m. Users can choose between 8x or 10x magnification or a powerful 8-16x zoom.

Wide field of view
The extra-wide field of view makes it easy for users to find objects and track fast-moving subjects. This makes the Olympus standard binoculars 8x40 S, 10x50 S and 8-16x40 S ideal companions for nature and wildlife observation as well as sporting events.

High optical performance for minimal chromatic aberration
High optical performance ensures minimal distortion and chromatic aberration, resulting in sharp, clear images right to the edges. Equipped with high-quality optics including aspherical lenses, these Porro prism binoculars guarantee a distortion-free view. Lenses and prisms are coated. Users can look forward to high-resolution results with excellent transmission - even in low light thanks to the large objective lens diameter. The 8x40 S with 8x magnification and the 10x50 S with 10x magnification are ideal for discovering the wonders of nature. The zoom of the 8-16x40 S is always an advantage when the user has no way of getting closer to the object.

Lightweight and ergonomic design
The Olympus 8x40 S, 10x50 S and 8-16x40 S standard binoculars have been designed with mobility and ease of use in mind. All elements have been arranged in such a way that the binoculars are particularly light and compact. The special elastic polymer coating for a secure grip and less light reflection makes the new Olympus binoculars the ideal tool for observing wild animals and birds. Quick and easy focusing is made possible by the large focusing wheel, which takes its popular, user-friendly shape from the high-end Olympus models.
