Samyang MF 14mm F2.8 is a high performance manual lens optimized and designed for the latest Canon camera series with RF Mount. The Lens is designed for cameras with 35mm full frame sensor for best photo and video shooting. It is designed for the latest Canon R and RP series mirrorless cameras with RF Mount with high pixel count.

Unique perspectives
The compact 14mm Samyang wide-angle lens creates unique shots. The wide angle captures significantly more than the standard lens at the same subject distance. The Samyang Lens is suitable for the entire spectrum of wide-angle photography, but especially for landscape photography and indoor shots. The distinct impression of depth in wide-angle shots provides room for creative photography.

Enormous width and great depth of field
The Lens has a short focal length. With a closest focusing distance of just 28 cm, the manually focusable wide-angle lens is particularly suitable for sharp, high-contrast images at close range. Thanks to the excellent speed of 1:2.8, optimally exposed shots are possible without long exposure times even in unfavorable lighting conditions. With the full-frame sensor, the angle of view is 116°, and 90° with an APS-C sensor.

High pixel count for excellent optical functionality
The extraordinary imaging performance is due to the sophisticated optical system. This consists of 10 groups with 14 lenses. Particularly noteworthy are the two aspherical lenses (one of them hybrid), 2 ED lenses and 3 HR lenses. The aspherical lenses (ASP) minimize aberrations by containing unwanted light scattering. The ED (extra-low distortion) lenses prevent chromatic aberrations. The HR (high refractive) lens optimizes the optical path for a clear and bright image. Samyang's proprietary Ultra Multi Coating UMC reduces aberrations and unwanted refractions that can cause flares and ghosting. With these matched high-precision aspherical and high-refractive lenses, the various possible aberrations are minimized, resulting in a clear image. In particular, the Lens has excellent distortion correction and provides excellent resolution in the center as well as at the edges. The lens hood also prevents annoying side light incidence and lens reflections that would lead to loss of contrast.

Innovative Design and Weather Protection
The Lens is not only technically sophisticated, but also outstanding in appearance. It interprets the design of mirrorless cameras in a new way. Thus, camera and Lens form a harmonious duo. The high-quality 14 mm 2.8 Lens has a compact design despite the solid metal body. The focus ring is frosted, which not only suits the Lens well, but also gives the photographer a good grip. The Lens features Samyang weather protection and can withstand snow or light rain showers.

Advantages of a full-frame lens on a camera with an APS-C sensor
The Samyang MF 14mm F2.8 is designed for full-frame. Of course, you can also use it on cameras with smaller sensors, such as APS-C. Since a correspondingly smaller section of the Lens's full-frame image circle impinges on the sensor, the angle of view is also a smaller one (116° for full-frame, 90° for APS-C on Canon). The image content of the APS-C image is therefore a central section of what a full-frame camera would image. Aberrations usually occur at the edge, especially with wide-angle lenses, so the quality for APS-C cameras is always maximum.
